What Advice Do You Have For A Newbie? Part 4: Don't spread yourself thin


Part 4: Resist all the “fun” activities-stick to the things that will accomplish your goals.

Depending on where you live, the opportunities for home school activities are already abundant or quickly getting there.

With so many things to choose from you could quickly find yourself pulled in every direction and stressed out. The things that you carefully choose to participate in will be fun or can be made fun.

So when you are faced with a trip to an Amish farm complete with making your own butter, stop and think, “Does this fit in with what we are learning to make our experience richer?”

If you studying ancient Greece, probably not. It’s okay to skip it, most likely that Amish farm trip will be available when you’re studying American History.
